About The Role
The Internship is Full Time (12 months), and will offer on-the-job learning and development while you help us build innovative software for some of the worlds leading media and entertainment brands. A successful internship will be followed by a job offer to continue a career with Audata.
We’re based in Melbourne, but happy for you to work remotely from anywhere in Australia. We want to hire a great person, not a tech superstar. There are no rigid criteria - we will consider anybody and any experience. We want someone who loves working with code to solve real-world problems, building great digital products, and constantly learning and developing their skills.
Responsibilities
Developing front end components and user experiences for Audata applications.
Understanding, planning, and designing user experiences and how users interact with our software.
Designing databases and data models.
Developing back-end web application and APIs.
Helping plan our development roadmap and prioritise features.
Working and collaborating with a team to design, plan, develop, and ultimately ship, world class software products.
Collaborating and sharing developer perspectives with other team members.
Troubleshooting and resolving bugs and other software issues.
Understanding the importance of security to our customers and continuously working to contribute to the overall security of Audata software and systems.
Working with clients to help understand their needs, share knowledge, communicate new features and encourage best-practice implementations.
In some cases, helping integrate Audata software with third-party systems.
Continuously learning, developing, and applying domain-relevant expertise.
Skills
There are no rigid pre-requisites for this position. We like to hire the right person, not the right resume. However, we will of course consider & value any experience / expertise you have which lends itself to the particular tech stack that we use here at Audata. Some examples include:
Ruby (and Rails)
HTML / CSS
SQL
Javascript, Typescript, and React
RESTful or GraphQL APIs
AWS and/or Heroku
Git & CI/CD workflows or tools
Product or UX Design
Web Application Security strategies & best practice
