At Audata, we believe in using our platform to make a tangible difference in the communities we serve. That’s why we were thrilled to participate for the very first time in the OzHarvest CEO CookOff.
Our CEO, Keegan Bakker, traded his desk for an apron to represent Audata, joining forces with some of Australia’s top chefs and business leaders. The goal? To turn up the heat on food insecurity and raise vital funds for OzHarvest, Australia's leading food rescue organisation.
Making an Impact
Thanks to the incredible generosity of our network and team, we are proud to share that our fundraising efforts provided 3,997 meals for Australians in need.
For every dollar donated, OzHarvest can provide two meals to men, women, and children who might otherwise go without. Hitting nearly 4,000 meals in our first year is a milestone we are incredibly proud of.
More Than Just a Meal
The CEO CookOff isn't just about fundraising; it's about connection. The event involves cooking for and dining with vulnerable members of the community, breaking down barriers and sharing stories over good food.
Reflecting on the night, Keegan shared:
"It was an excellent event, I loved working with our chefs Alejandro Saravia (Farmers Daughters) and Jacqui Challinor (Group Development Chef at Trader House), and and I was incredibly proud to engage directly with those in the community OzHarvest serves. It’s a humbling experience to see exactly where the help goes."
Looking Ahead
Participating in this event has only strengthened our resolve to support philanthropic initiatives. We are already looking forward to donning the yellow aprons again and participating in the OzHarvest CEO CookOff next year.
A huge thank you to everyone who donated and supported our campaign. Together, we are helping to nourish our country.
